Conflict / Riot Reporting
Other Notes :-
- A Conflict is caused by violent confrontation of interests by groups.
- A Riot is a violent disturbance of the peace by crowds.
Other Suggestions :-
- Reporters across the world bravely report from Conflict / Riot affected areas.
- However, affected people (local civilians) do not have choice other than to bear injuries, death & destruction.
- It is advisable for the respective reporters, not to report from fighting areas.
- It has been observed that many reporters, report the news while standing / moving near fighting points.
- Be safe and report from a place which is FAR from attackers, or is not under cross-firing.
- Example: Probably VERY NEAR law enforcement personnels / riot control forces. Any other Place far away from attack.
- Also if possible, additionally, a colour code could be provided to media fraternity in such situations.
- Your media / press status should be clearly visible.
- Example: ' ARMOUR ' Helmet & Vest mentioning word ' PRESS '.
- REMEMBER, the attackers / rioting crowd WILL NOT respect this status.
